Red Mountain Med Spa is the premier provider of medically supervised weight loss, anti-aging therapies, and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Dr. Suzanne Bentz, board certified in Family Medicine and Bariatric Medicine, and her caring and knowledgeable staff have a special interest in medical weight loss and are passionate about helping their patients achieve their goals and becoming healthier.

Although Dr. Bentz and her team specialize in medical weight loss, they soon discovered that a large majority of their patients suffered from allergies and/or asthma. These patients were using a variety of prescription and over-the-counter medications to bring a temporary relief to their suffering. Patients noticed that these medications were also bringing along adverse side effects, such as weight gain and increased appetite.

Many people are surprised to find that some allergy and asthma medication, include weight gain on their list of side effects. Medications, such as Benadryl and other antihistamines, can increase appetite and make you feel tired, drowsy and less likely to exercise. Dr. Bentz and her team decided to research the different treatment options available.
